While simplicity is a basic tenet to his sound, Sven cites a wide range of influences -Rhythm & Sound, Convextion, Kraftwerk, Monolake, among others. His output has a very live and dynamic quality, as each element is presented crisp and clear for hungry ears. For instance, on “Realm of Possibilities,” rubbery basslines seem to ‘stick’ with each plodding downbeat, while a hypnotic clacking percussion line seems to jump out of the speaker. Echoing FX linger, weaving in and out of the proceedings that evokes reflection as well as movement - this is one quality excursion. B-side track, “Aural Dazzling,” takes a more conventional melodic approach, a tip of the hat to techno masters! |
