Solu Music is the record label and production duo of Howie Caspe and Dano Nathanson. Started in spring 2001, Solu's mission is to release music that you feel rather than just listen to. Located in NYC with studio space on Long Island, Solu is looking to become a force on the deep house & chillout scene. With musical roots in r&b, soul, and of course, house, Howie and Dano are hoping to carve a sexy, smooth sound that's strictly Solu.
Currently Dano and Howie write, produce, arrange, and perform everything the label releases. The label's first release, "Fade Featuring KimBlee" is now exclusively available on Wave Music. KimBlee and Solu met in summer 2000 while Dano and Howie were putting together a live Funk/R&B project. "KimBlee came by Howie's apartment to audition and completely blew our minds" said Dano. Howie added, "I mean, she just has a hypnotizing sound, you don't hear someone like her very often." KimBlee is also featured on "Sunsets", the b-side of Solu's second release, "The Afrika EP".
