Boyd’s music career began in 1981 when he got his first synthesizer and started performing with DJ Derrick Davidson at Melons to unsuspecting but enthusiastic audiences. This quickly led to a series of overdub radio gigs at WBLS and an introduction to soon-to-be production partner Tommy Regisford. The two of them started creating tracks together, including “The Music For Me”. These collabs got such a tremendous club response that Boyd soon found himself signed with Prelude Records.
It didn’t take long for Boyd to gain a reputation as an innovator in music production & Remixing, he has now worked with many of the recording industries icons, including Timmy Regisford, Merlin Bobb, Prince, Madonna, Herbie Hancock, Ah Ha and Boy George, discovered Colonel Abrams just to mention a few.
