Borut Margon adds another flag, Slovenia, to the Wave music family and and a fresh flavor to the WavTec catalog.
In 2000 he started puting to good use the knowledge he'd gotten in music school, and began experimenting with analogue machines. Even though hard minimal techno was the most popular electronic genre in Slovenia at the time, he mainly produced straight-up house, until he stumbled upon Johannes Heil's, Andreas Muegge's (d.diggler) and more melodic "synthy" techno tracks, which were most influential on him.
He then worked on producing techno, tech house and progressive stuff, and had the opportunity to perform live, which proved quite successful (Ambasada Gavioli - Final Flash City, club Lipa, club K4...).
In 2004 his first EP, Oronica, was released on a German label, and the title "Source of Ignition" found its way onto the Balance compilation mixed by Chris Fortier (which happens to also feature Wave veteran artist Floppy Sounds). |
