When you say Cielo Installed the GSA Iso, is that just for the event pictured, or as a permanent part of there setup? There shitty Bozak is still clearly visible in the pic as well lol

Kevin,

This was the first time I was ever @ Cielo. The club has a small F-1 system with a UREI LE & the Bozak ISO. I had asked them to demo the unit for a few weeks. The Sound Tech Installed the GSA ISO LOOPED THREW THE BOZAK ISO & then looped threw the pioneer efx1000 effect unit. (gain gain gain / ouch) ?? WHY / ONLY THERE SOUND TECH. KNOWS THIS ANSWER >>>>>

When I was in the booth I watched the system constantly peak in the RED. The DJ had the Pioneer efx1000 effect unit installed (not threw the GSA unit) also the BOZAK ISO knobs where full UP then messing with the GSA ISO FULLY TURNING THE KNOBS ALL THE WAY. I was not happy with the outcome of this demo. There sound system did not sound good causing a bad demo night.......

This morning I spoke to the sound tech. and explained that to many devices with gain inserted in the effect loop will cause any mixer to overload.
I explained to the sound tech, what needs to be done, such as install the GSA ISO3001 DIRECT TO THE UREI LE EFFECT LOOP AND THEN INSTALL THE PIONEER EFX1000 UNIT IN THE EFFECT LOOP OF THE GSA ISOLATOR & REMOVE THE BOZAK ISO TOTALLY from the circut. This will give THE GSA ISO3001 THE PROPER DEMO NEEDED.

Thanks
Mario G.

Wow, sounds like there sound tech is a regular genius lol. Sorry to hear that Mario. Its a nice unit and deserves a proper demo, otherwise why even bother if they aren't going to do it right and give it a fair chance.

Cielo changes their mixers to cater to the DJ playing the event. When Tedd Patterson plays, he uses a Xone. When Louie plays on Wednesday's, he uses a Bozak. This has nothing to do with the GSA Isolator, and I'm not taking anything away from it, I'm just answering the question above from the experience I've had (I've been to Cielo about 50 times, (I really need to get a life)). Mario, in that bottom picture, is that you in the middle? Who is the man to the right?

Happy Easter

Skooby on the hunt... reeooww

Mario you look quite pimp, well, I've only ever seen you in sweats so lol..

Yea that was a bum demo. I love Cielo. Definitely one of my favorite places, and the Tedd Paterson night is probably the night I'm there 99% of the time. I do have to say that place is always harsh sounding, whether it's the the tuning or just the inherent nature of that F1 system, or both. But Skooby is right, they do change the system around as per dj spinning.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding. When you say they are reverse anodised, you mean instead of silk screening right?

If that is the case I may be interested in a new face for my unit. The screening is wearing off of mine.

Kevin,

Sorry I have not responded fast enough for you. I do not stay on wave for 24hours. You have my phone # call - you have my email write.

Regarding wear - all plates that are screened will rub off if you rub them.

We went to another vendor for the plates and chasis. For the reason we wanted to mach the GSA X3001 crossover.

If would like a new plate please feel free to email me djmariog@aol.com we will work something out.

Thank You
Have a great weekend
Mario G

Mario, what input did Gary have in these units?

I remember seeing in his Yonkers shop many really good looking GSA circuit boards.

Does Gary frequent here? Perhaps he can drop in and offer a few good words.

I'm considering getting one for my rental stock.

Paul,

The units we designed have rca inputs made to go threw the effect loop of any mixer.

Gary reads on occasions but a bit busy out in Vegas with work & family. He will be in NY soon for another GSA INSTALL. When he gets in we will get together.

Here is a photo of the back of the unit. This was the first run a few cahnges to the screening and faceplates now with reversed anodized.

Send me an email djmariog@aol.com , I could get you a unit to demo or your welcome to stop by and see the units here in Jersey.

We have them in stock and we can have production runs made in 2 weeks.

I don't need a demo. I've seen what I need to see about them here. Plus, the DJ's here who've used them love it, which is way more important than what I think about what they use. Looks like you have a few in stock ready to go, eh?

Also

Paul,

Your always welcome at The Eldorado, AND, in this case, more than welcome to a hands on demo of the GSA isolator. hear it, feel it, play with it, and flip the LOOP in/out switch on the Rane 2016A with the isolators pots set to 0, and hear for yourself that there REALLY is no change in sound with it in or out.

I also feel, that being that I play file based dance music, with software driven playback gear, should be a more than proper rendition and real world hands on demonstration of what the GSA ISO-3001 can do for you in your systems.

Anytime you want,

Received a GSA ISO3001 for a client last week, my client is wrapped and I must take my hat off to you Mario I have no idea how you managed to build these Isolators and make a profit for $895us
It was built solid, looks great & sounds great “a lot better than I expected for that much money”…

Thanks, Mario…
