Rotary Mixer Rack from Japan!

Just got this today! It's pretty cool! This is the larger AL-6W. The 6 stands for 6 space and the W for window. It's how much space you have between the top and bottom rail covers. I wanted pretty much everything you see to rack to fit without removing the top an bottom rails. You can have two more spaces if you take them off but it looks neater.

I didn't want and SKB, Odyssey or Road Ready Case because you need at least 3 to 4 spaces underneath in order for a Urei, Bozak etc.. to fit. At that point it's too high an you can't adjust it. You also can't connect or disconnect anything without taking the gear out.

Takes about 20 minutes to put together. It has a special nut and square holder that slides in between the rack rails that the rack screws go into. Regular rackmount screws don't fit. The rack has an upper or lower section. It comes in the upper.

It's best to use the lower otherwise you won't be able to fit your XLR cables in. Just a little to close to the table. I found this out the hard way after I racked everything in and had to take them all out. You could use the upper section but you'd have to raise the mixer.

It's about $300 USD with Express Mail Shipping. I got this in 2 days from Japan. The company's service is excellent! If you wire the money check with your bank for fees or just send an international money order.

Thanks for posting this.
I was interested in this rack when I first saw it mentioned here a few months ago. It looks like it will do the job for my V6.

sry for the bad quality, cellphone-camera...
it's not finished yet...an e&s isolator will find its place above the mixer, and i will set the mixer down to the bottom...

i have nothing else to say about this piece, than that it's absolutely great

if you want one of those units write to info@soundactive.jp

akihiro is such a nice guy, and really kind
very nice to do business with him, you won't be disappointed

I think the way you have the rack configured it should be fine to place the mixer at the bottom. Sometimes if your using xlr cables it might be a little too close to the table when your adjusting it back and forth.

this is my one

you are better off leaving the mixer in the middle cause as greg g said the chords do end up getting tangled up a bit and you cant really tilt the rack anymore if u decide to do so, but all in all i love it, its solidly built and you can carry it around if u play out without much hassles. all i need now is a vu meter for a lower window hehe.
