Nice rig, Kieren!

Two questions:

Where are those arm-plates from? They don't look like the Origin Live, Sound-Supports or Sound-Hifi ones... Are they from Isonoe?

And what are the two boxes behind each turntable? There's a small black one and a larger grey one behind each TT. I'm guessing phono-pres and maybe power-supplies, but they don't look like the KAB or Timestep PSUs.

Yeah the arm bases where from Isonoe , not sure if they made them or just sourced them for me!

Yeah the black boxes are Phono Pre’s (Thorens MM001) until I decide on which Pre’s I like (really hard decision) in the meantime the MM001’s I had in stock.
The silver boxes are Power Supplies for the decks which were made for me by a friend, much like the Timestep versions..

Real nice work!
Are you using 2"x2"x3/16" angle iron for the console base? What meterial are you using for the slabs and how thick are they?

Thanks!

Efrain

Yeah Efrain, close it's 50mm x 50mm x 6mm roughly 2" x 2" x 1/4" angle.
The top is Granite, about 20mm or 13/16" thick.

Talking

Yeah, the other nice idea is to use 4" Hardwood posts and bolt it together, this was my first plan but i was welding some speaker brackets and just figured i would kill two birds with one stone.
(no birds were actually harmed or in any danger of being harmed in the construction of Kieren's console)

Nice recycled hardwood posts would of looked awesome with the granite or slate top.....

It’s good to see peoples home set ups, it adds a bit of respect for each other!
Personally I wouldn’t want to have a discussion on rebuilding my Turntables with a guy who’s HiFi consisted of a iPod and a set of PC speakers….

To be honest, I just got the RLA crossover a few weeks ago, and have not had a chance to try out anything except the full range. My wife made me put my 3-way JBL stack in storage and go back to hi-fi towers, so thats all thats connected at the moment. I really need to drag everything out and give it a listen, but just haven't had the time.

OH, the dreaded WAF, ( WIFE ACCEPTANCE FACTOR ), sometimes I think it is too bad we can't put wives in storage for a bit!

ROTFLMAO!

<looks around to make sure the coast is clear...>

Then who would cook mah dinner!!??

Yes, I got the crossover from Ed. Thought I may never have another chance to score an original (i.e. not the rane version), so I jumped all over that BIN. The Wife almost put ME in storage over that....good thing she has a shoe/handbag addiction herself.

Mr. Soul, I will be happy to make room in the console somewhere for my gold plated award.
