Jesus christ Kev, thats a beast of a DJ booth lol It's like the old MOS booth..all you need is to add a Rane MP-24 in there which I'm sure you have and then you basicaly got all the mixers they had in at one point hahah
I read some where in a old DJ mag that everything was run at line level there so the 1200's were run through pre-amps and the whole thing was controled by some computer software so you could patch anything to anything via the PC!
Perhaps Mark Andrews from this formum knows more about this as he's played there quite a few times

Pff, I'd be utterly lost MOS' booth. no overview on what you're playing whatsoever.
But hey I like the mixer between the decks (actually between the laptop and controller nowadays) anyway.

I have two mixers in my console, (Urei & Bozak )one controls the cd players the other control the tt's.The Bozak is used as a line mixer Urei Conrols the TT's. Bozak is running into the Urei.(no swtiching off of one mixer the use the other.)

No, all 3 mixers are racked to make switching easier but only the Rane Rotary is connected to the gear at the moment. The open bottom will make switching the mixers easy though and I don't plan to switch all that often anyways.

Michinyc, when are you going to tell us about that homemade isolator of yours?

I'm burning with curiosity. What schematics did you use? How does it sound?!

TOP SECRET!!!
nothing special Lime Twig, nothing special! The motherboard is from a vestax kill, i did some mods to put in a rack case and i changed the original pots with ALPS BLUE VELVET pots. The knobs are ELMA. About the sound what can i say? For sure is not the same sound of GSA or Thrive or E&S, but for home use is ok. I just waiting to save some money and buy a gsa iso from mario.

This is my 'new' VERY compact ugly duckling Traktor setup. I built it like this for cheapness (OSB cost me 10 Euro, the rest of the stuff was already lying around in my shed) and because I want to play at home, but have no room for a decent setup. TT's + vinyl + old mixers are in storage...

Cut OSB Boards

Equipment
Urei 1603 + Behringer BCR2000 + Lenovo X60 with Traktor and Ableton + + Urei 1603 + JBL Urei 6260, 'vintage' Philips speakers not pictured.

This was my setup for a house party when I was using my Rane:

And this is what I'm running now:

'Antionette', my custom DJR400. My little baby
3 X Denon DNS1000 CDJ's
1 X Technics 1200 MK3
1 X Technics 1200 MK3D
2 X Nagaoka carts
2 X Fostex 0.4 studio monitors

Not like some of the other custom booths on here, but I like it. Lots of room to access the mixer, it goes in and out a lot. I keep telling myself it's only temporary and when I finally move back to Oz that I'll build a booth and buy exactly what I want, but I got a feeling I'm gunna be here for a while to come.

I ran a very similar system for awhile (BCR/traktor/4-channel mixer) for exactly the same reason: portable, effective, and pretty cheap. Instead of the urei I had an oldish 4-channel gemini mixer with hilarious digital effects, one was called "trance", no joke, still don't know what it does exactly.. sort of a gate/phaser combo.. ish.. With all its lights on the BCR looks quite cool in the dark too i must say. Your case looks good, very practical.

I've used a couple of different digital setups so far (all with Traktor) (+mixed versions of what I mention) ;
-Vestax VCI 100 Ean Golden Edition
-DJM909 + Traktor as digital vinyl system, no extra controllers (love the 909 btw, best Pio mixer so far)
-Korg Zero8 (which SUCKED for tons of reasons)

I prefer he in current setup. The possibilities and flexibility the BCR offers can't be beaten for my purposes.
Spacy layout, very flexible (well hey, its MIDI.. ) and I kind of got to like the feel of it. The only Behringer product without any downside for me.
When i play at a club I take my HD25 + soundcard + laptop + BCR + soundcard and some cables, so I can travel lightly.
(Thnx btw)

Ps; ( ) Just added a couple of boards to my creation..
Perhaps it does deserve a lick of paint.
