is that a tractix curve horn?

how do you like it? I have read the the "sweet spot" with that horn is somewhat small when compared to exponential, or CD horn designs, but have never heard one...

Like Isaac Hayes said "You're damn right".

It is a Tractrix-Horn (Jabo with BMS-Drivers from Hannover. Quite common over here in Hifi circles, by the way.).

The sound is definitely an acquired taste like all horn designs are. But I only heard compliments after my first party. One cannot help but fall in love with my highs after listening to Charlie Mingus 'Solo dancer' or Rej by Hundred Birds.

The infamous Sweet Spot isn't a factor in a small room. I doubt expos are that superior.

cool -- within a few years I plan to have a pair turned for me...

I think they are somewhat common in the Hi-Fi circles here too
especially the Dr. Edgar turned ones....

but I still haven't heard any...

in due time I guess...

Mille grazie, Louped.

Edgars aren't in my budget while Jabos are quite cheap - 200 a pair.

My beauties are mounted on Stark corner horns,
ditto German design, and diy.

Didn't Edison invented the Tractrix horn?

Some old and current pics here:

My old home made Optical Theramin, based around a 555 Timer chip providing a loud! square wave output, also added an internal speaker for fun and jack out to go in the mixer.

The old studio setup, not pictured the Yamaha AN-200 and Roland SH-32

The new DJ setup>>>

Before the CDJ lol

Having Fun!

Some pictures of a dj console I designed for a friend of mine. Thought it turned out nice as even the gf approved of the matching color scheme

That looks really good Vinyl Junkie, very clean setup. There must be someway you can fit both your CDJs and the Technics on there. I feel so sorry for those poor little turntables

Thanks
Yeah so do I
The problem is around the back there isn’t enough space for a bracket so of the shelf products by the likes of Sefour won’t fit. I would like to get a friend to build me a complete new console, what you are seeing is a cheap £50 MDF computer table, but it does the job (sort off) and doesn’t look to bad

I like the table.....

if you wanted to make room for teh CDJs and TTs; you could cut a piece of MDF that was just a little deeper thanthe desk is currently, and make a cutout for the mixer, then have the CDJs at the front on either side of the mixer, with the TTs on the back row...

Kinda Ghetto, I know.....

i found this badge locally...
looks like i need to adjust the placement

i had questioned the blue logo appearing inthe sales brochure awhile back
http://www.wavemusic.com/community/s...ight=urei+logo

sorry for the bad pic....
