old rk40

can a scratchy rk40 be taken apart and cleaned/refurbished??

Sealed pots don't usually get dirty, they wear out through mechanical action and once the waffer has worn you need to replace the unit. They can become scratchy if the circuit has too much DC going through the pots. You could attempt to clean the tracks, though not really worth the effort.

Plenty of good options around for pots.
