Captainjr.....

I'm sorry it took me so long to try this unit out....
but it is what it is... too busy sometimes guess...

I had a chance to check the mixer out over the last month or so...
I dig it... alot.... think the HB series output cards were certainly a well designed upgrade... the unit sounds excellent... paired with a thrive amp I picked up off of ebay... the best I've heard from my co-axial monitors, hands down...

DLC w/ two phono, six aux - set up for four phonos optional with Molex/pins assembly installed, "true" booth, all output cards HB 1A specification, new balance pots, cue switch new, all NOS JBL ALPs pots - channels, booth, mains, headphone, new chassis, early style faceplate.... basically a ground up rebuild...

here are some pictures...

Thanks for asking.... but sorry to disappoint...

** *edit* traded the unit to a gentleman I know down in Colorado Springs..
He sold it for $3250+ shipping the week he physically received it. **

better for the unit to get back into the wild though... right?

I recently came across a 1939 Hammond Model D that I'm in the process of restoring...
and my wife asked for me too get rid of a toy or two...

and besides, I have another few units at Buzzy's place for rebuilding already....
a D, and 10-2 factory chassis converted to D but with meters....

The unit looks amazing. Glad to hear that the unit sounds better also to you with the upgrade cards. My opinion is on the added HB Booth card I have in my DLB converted by Buzzy that it seems to have more solid punch than a perfectly working original audio card. I may just have Buzzy go over the DLB and now add HB cards to the main outputs. It's a shame to let a custom built unit by him for you go. I know what it's like when the better half wants to clean house. Ha! Ha!

I agree but at the same time understand that gear should be used, and not just looked at on occasion....

I suspect that I'll keep the converted 10-2 unit, as well as a stock 10-2 microphone/line channel mixer for my recording and playback use....

family happiness sometimes comes down to making compromises...
I'm wanting to pick up another Hammond- a functional equal to the famous B3 units....
and those are the terms I'm dealing with...
