i looked at a wohler too. They look pretty nice, along with logitek.
but all i could find were digital wohlers
and didn't want to get into incorporating an analog to digital converter into this console.

Headphones are HD-650 on the glass head or HD-25s.

When ever I want better sound, I run the output from the mixer to my vintage hi-fi system featuring a restored Pioneer SX-1250 receiver and a couple of Onyx Mini Strata speakers. I don't know why they call them Mini Stratas since they are 4 feet tall. When the wife starts complaining about the sound, I plug the HD-650s into my homemade tube headphone amp.

The turntable on top of the SX-1250 receiver has been replaced by a SL-1200M5G. Not in the picture is a Logitech Transporter for listening to my Flac files.

Call the POLICE!!!! Hahaha.

That is one serious setup Panotaker. Your wife is a lucky woman!

Would love to have a listen to those Onyx speakers with the SX-1250.

It is a shame that Onyx went out of business, I am lucky to have the Mini Stratas, they sound fantastic. The 1250 doesn't have a scratch on it, and looks and plays like new. I just recently bought another one that I have to have recapped. The nice thing about the Mini Stratas is that they sound fantastic at loud volume levels, or low.

Signal and Video processing rack for the streaming DJ show I'm starting soon. Most of it isn't "boutique" stuff but it gets the job done.

The basic broadcast audio chain is a "Broadcast Electronics FM-601 Stereo AGC/Limiter" with DBX 202 VCA's and UTC transformers. It's a modular design and you set all the knobs with a mini screwdriver on the card modules inside, but it tames the signal nicely and adds a nice color.

After that is an Aphex Dominator, which is an extremely transparent and effective peak limiter. (The idea is to smooth the signal out first, then tame the extreme peaks so that other DJ's can't destroy the NS10s without really trying.) I tried an Aphex Compellor instead of the BE, but it squashed the signal too much and not having to meet modulation limits, but I do want the signal to be up-front and consistent.

I'm using a Sonic Solutions A/D converter which was very pricey in its day and still sounds great.

Well, I'm really pleased to be able to say that my new music room is now complete in terms of decoration. I've painted up my console (built by my legend neighbour Ken!) and loaded up my records and equipment. I'm really pleased with the finished article and looking forward to many hours and years of heavy use and enjoyment from it!

easiest way is to host them on photobucket or some other free site, and use the

[img] [/img]

tags...

what you would do is paste the photo's url between those two html tage above
it would end up looking like

{img}w3.photobucket//kchillisphotos.jpg{/img} except using the brackets as above instead of the ones i used on this line

GOod LUCK!
