Comparisons should be indentical in volume, well known issue with doing A/B is that the listener will favour the one that has a higher dB level.

This is the second track with matched average levels. The peaks were raised to –3 dB as opposed one track offering –3.6 dB and the other track offering –4 dB.

Comparing the two songs on the second track file, I prefer the sound of the second recording.

Best Regards,

It would have been easier if you created separate files to make a fair A/B comparison. This would have made those who want to participate focus on the characteristics of the same songs they are drawn to instantaneously.

This is why I chose one track out of all the files you offered and placed the two recordings played through the two preamplifiers back to back.

Having the levels match makes the user focus more on the tonal characteristics of the track & not become influenced on the difference in output level.

I guess it really depends on how thorough of an analysis you are looking to inquire from your audio demonstrations comparing the two preamplifiers.

Best Regards,
