i'd like to know more about performance of this alps compared to the blue velvet or black beauty...
even if the xone has a vca system.

I own original urei.(it was produced in 1983) My opinion is the knobs are tight and smooth, mix feeling is almost same as original urei. But sound comes around 10 o'clock. : (

maybe the sound comes in too soon because its only a 20k pot... also if im not mistaken... the letter b after the 20k means that its not an audio taper which could make it play alot different also....but they have a great industrial look to them!!! looks like they can take a beating!!!

well if this pot opens the sound too quickly at 10 o'clock it's a P.I.T.A..
but in your opinion how is the opening curve between "3" (10 o'clock) and "10" full position?
does it give you a decent control over the mix?

Hi, usually my change position is around 1 o'clock ~ 3 o'clock. and yes it does, but it's a little inferior compared with urei.
