Question about Stereo's dj booth.

I thought they didn't remove the Urei from the dj booth at Stereo. I thought the moto there was, "you play on the Urei or you don't play at all." I ask this because of this picture I found.

that looks like dj heather and i think that was the tour that heather did with collette and if i remember collette sings when she plays and perhaps the urei did not have the funtions she wanted in this case where there is a live vocal element then perhaps the stereo sound guy needed to use the 1000 as it does posess the mic inputs and tone controls for this

just a guess

and now that stereo is a digital system im sure its more condusive to the likes of the djm 1000 or the elcer boards if needed

i hope they dont get rid of the urei as the system was originally designed around that mixer its litrally the heart of the beast.

I could be wrong but that looks like a DJM800 not a DJM1000

it is an 800 now that i look at it must be because its slanted in the photo and the 1000 has a slant to it

ive used the 800 and it was not all that and a bag of chips the new ecler nuo 5 is a far superior board.

When Collette dj'd @ Paradise in Tampa she requested the pioneer. She likes the onboard effects of the Pioneer while singing.

She requested it when I brought her to San Antonio, Texas. I was under the impression that Stereo doesn't remove the Urei for anyone.

i doubt they removed it

it looks like they just plopped the 800 where the 1200s would be and moved things around a bit the booth at stereo is large but not huge the decks are right in front of the 1620 and the cdjs are to the left and right with the processing righ underneath each set of cdjs

It looks like something basic to angle the CDJ's.

The Blue circular pads, are absorbtion pads & kept the cd player from moving from vibration that i added when my system was still in there
