Question Stereohedron needles ...

Have you ever used Stanton 680SL (680s with stereohedron needles)?
Do they sound better than the elliptical ones? Do you know if they are available at the moment?

I've never heard of anybody who had used them, so I think they no longer are available, but I'm not sure.

If, as I suspect, "stereohedron" is a marketing term for "hyper-elliptical" I would think this a bad idea for DJ purposes. Elliptical stylus tips tend to cause more cue-burning of records, and are much less forgiving of the misalignment commonly found on DJ booth turntables, and the more radical the elliptical shape the greater these problems become.

I personally have been using/installing the re-introduced Stanton 890AL's (spherical tip) and have been pretty happy with them.

I also have the new 890's. Did you buy the Stanton "Final Scratch" package with the spherical and elliptical tips or just the 890AL's?
