Small/mid size speaker enclosure

I have some spare Tad 1603 drivers and I am looking to put them in a small to medium size enclosure. I would like to hang it on the ceiling. Any suggestion will be appreciated.

Please also advise on what horns, tweeters, etc that I should add to the enclosure. Thanks.

I would go with a compression driver on a lower cut off rated horn...
at least useful to 500hz, then tinker around with slope and xo freq until you're happy,
then contemplate a UHF driver addition

the old Altec drivers can be worth the gamble if you get lucky,
and have some patience, and/or alternatives to Ebay...
Fostex made some really nice 1" wood horns that show up,
or you could clone....
I'm sure there are modern 1" drivers that would work very well also..
likely showing better graphs than the older, possibly fatigued units...

I'm running dual 1601As per side in sealed boxes with 2440s and fostex t945 tweeters...

the 2440s are either on 350hz Edgarhorns or serpentine lenses with a jbl 2343/H5038 clone

nice IMO, but not super small.....

I do believe those A5/A7 do low end well, if you tweak them out...
wish I had space to try those dual 15 Altec cabinets, think 210s they are....

my wife would leave me.....
