need some tech help, is my v6 crapping out????

hey guys been a while but i need some expert advice

i have my A&H v6 for about 5 yrs or so

lately i have been noticing the hi's cutting out on the left channel

i hear them drop in the earphone as well as the monitors

i do have the a&h isolator and it seems it happens on my cd and turntable that are on the same switched side of the isolator

where do i go from here?

i guess disconnect the isolator and see if the trouble continues

can any pro steer me in the right direction?

I find highs dropping out is usually a result of a bad interconnect or jack prior to it going out.

Got to say for the price of this thing you should have 'executive VIP' treatment.

Trinity, keep us aprised of the situation. A & H does NOT want to see and hear us MAKING NOISE and bitching up a storm.

IF THEY DON'T GET YOUR MIXER FIXED and TAKEN CARE OF IN TIMELY FASHION, LET US KNOW! WE WILL SCREAM, and TRUST ME, WHAT WE CAN SAY THEY DON'T WANT TO HEAR!

There was a thread on another forum recently where a guy emailed A&H about the faders on his 92 and they emailed him back even giving him info on how to change them to his liking. Maybe email is the way to go to get ahold of someone in the UK. Also have you checked the Xone forums? No doubt their staff checks that for users having issues.

DOING GREAT! How about you, besides this mixer issue?

Memorial Day Weekend in CONEY ISLAND WAS PHENOMENAL. Luna Park had it's GRAND OPENING. Now they are getting even more things going, but the turnout was like the 1960,s and early 1970,s. HUGE and OVERWHELMING SUCCESS! CONEY ISLAND ROARED BACK TO LIFE AFTER HAVING BEEN PRONOUNCED DEAD AFTER LAST YEARS SEASON.

LOOKS LIKE WE MIGHT BE DOING SOME MAJOR BUILDING RENOVATION AND ADDITION TO THE ELDORADO with the areas new and HIGHER F.A.R. and GOING UP!

New lighting going into the bumper cars this week, and NEW sound toys and a SERIOUS upgrade as well.

What else can I say? I am happy. And I hope you get your mixers problem sorted in a timely manner.

thats great to hear scott!

honestly once i got this beast i fell in love and never thought about new gear again!!!!

i emailed UK they got back to me right away and and guy from US got me right back as well

Quote:
I am the senior Allen & Heath Service Technician for the US and I've not received any communication from you as of today regarding this matter. This is not to say that you have not been trying to reach someone here, I'm just saying it has not been me. This was, as you can see, forward to me from Allen & Heath UK. According to your description of the problem listed below, this is not a problem I nor the guys in the UK have ever run into before. However, if this failure occurs only when the isolator is connected then it could possibly be a pot on the isolator failing and causing intermittent filtering that appears to be high end drop outs. If it occurs while the isolator is not connected, have you completely eliminated all cabling and external devices connected to the Xone:V6? If so then, as I stated earlier, this is not something any of us have ever run into before and it would probably be best to have the unit sent to a service center to be tested.

...in future contact Andy Rigby-Jones at A&H UK direct.

The V6 was his baby and he's a very obliging guy. Sent me a pack of bulbs for my VU meters a few months back and didn't charge me a penny.
