New mixer by E&S : DJR 400
Hello !
Electronique & Spectacle has built a new prototype.
It's a High Quality Portable Rotary Mixer.
This mixer has 4 channels with eq on each channel (high and low) and a crossover (low, mid, high) on the main outpout.
This mixer will be seen in WMC during DJ Deep gigs.
E&S has not yet decided to launch this mixer on the market...
I hope they will.

Has anyone used the rackmount version or X-over
Is the X-over an actual xover or just an EQ ?
How is the Mixer ? Sound Good ?

It seems that the crossover is a real crossover (not eq).
And for the sound, check that in the WMC if you go there.
I really do not know the sound quality.

There has also been an update of the custom-section on the hp: ( klick)
Mr. Barbé quotes his mixer to sound like an Urei with a better crosstalk.
If you have questions regarding his product I recommend to just drop him a mail. As to my experience he happily answers all questions and is open to discuss possible modifications to your desire.

WMC DEEP
Any particular club o party that you recommend in Miami for Sound System / Gearheads?
Where is dj DEEP playing?
WMC should be a good chance to organize a meeting with the people who write in this forum. Who's gonna be there?

Had the pleasure to meet Jerome and see, feel and hear this mixer. He is a nice guy, and has very good ideas about sound. Very nice idea ... could prove to be a very interesting.
Also had a chance to give the original DJR100 a listen on a demo setup in our warehouse, and compared it to other mixers. It sounds really .. really good.

Holy Crap!!!
This is strikingly similar to a mixer I've been building for my own use. Damn, I've been working on this forever. Now I can't decide if I should shoot myself or just buy a DJR400. I'd probably be late to my own funeral too... Nice work Jerome and DJ Deep.

Just curious...
Has anyone else had any more experience with the DJR400?
Anyone have any opinions about it and how it sounds?
Peace

E&S DJR 400
Hi,
I borrowed my friends DJR 400 to test it in my sound system against my Urei.
The E&S mixer has great functionality and is well made but sound wise it's not as good as the Urei.
I own a great sound system so I'm confident in my sonic evaluation of this mixer.

hi
i have the djr 400 and i´m very happy with
the sound is full and clear and the isolator section
works very well.
i think it`s the best mixer in this portable size.

would you mind giving us an idea of your system? and how do you think its 'sonics' differ from your UREI? (Vintage UREI, right? or 1620LE?)
Thanks
