i AM old skool yes, I've owned them for 15 years. They've have had a very easy life (one is actually a 1300 plus I have another SL-P1200 not seen in this picture). They're not as user friendly as modern cd decks, you really need to read the user manual on these units to understand cue programming and lack of buffer! I've used many slp's in venues between 1989-1998, so I'm well used to them, but everyone has Pioneer or Denon these days. Personally, I feel they sound far more rich and detailed than any other pitch adjustable cd deck ever produced, particularly when compared to Pioneer...
