Think I'm going to use it as a meter that tells me when the compressor is going to kick in on the amp, rather than a true 0db meter as seems far too difficult to set up...

yep, think thats a fair point about transporting...

yep, think thats a fair point about transporting the Urei - was a bugger carying it back from NYC to London and last thing I was is for it to get damaged. Plus, I'd rather keep the isolator & effects...

I've got a yamaha spx 990 and found the tapping function to be a nightmare. While tapping a constant 120bpm beat, the unit would read 99bpms one second and 135 the next !
