for two full range speakers,

one on the left and one on the right, then I would think that you wouldnt be able to use a xover fully and would bypass it as the speakers aready have a xover built in them.
I'm no expert though but...

Your probably right as I read about this on another site and just assumed it was for the 1200's. It said that by using the SME it would greatly improve tracking...
