Have you seen the prices on Thorens lately? Yikes! Glad I picked up a TD125 years ago. I suggested the Rega because its simple and fairly inexpensive - you are basically paying for the tonearm.

I love those wood lenses too, but they are designed for the LE85/H91 horn. Too bad no one makes a wood version for the elliptical H5038 horn that the 2395 lenses use.

I have only heard 2395 lenses in a few select clubs, so I would have a hard time objectively comparing the two. I have a pair or two of them in storage, but only recently acquired the 2441 drivers...
