19" Desktop Racks

Looking for a desktop 19" rack for Urei/Iso-X/VU meter - anyone here use/ can recommend one? Juno doesn't have much but I'd prefer a rack that is adjustable or leans back at an angle:

Loving the look of this adjustable rack from Japan (previous thread on here from 2008):

Any other options out there? Gonna need a reshuffle of all music related gear due to family expansion ;)

I wouldn't recommend those 10u Quiklok racks for DJ'ing and mounting your Urei, it will be very uncomfortable to mix with that there imo, they are minlay for studio gear.

If you'd be in the UK I could give you mine, I recently replaced all my crappy racks with custom wood ones.

I'd look into making a custom console to fit your Urei or just modify what you have?
Alternatively if you could cut some bits of MDF, I had this done in 2004 by a friend as the Formula Sound has all it's connections on the underside like the Urei.

It was great cos when I sold the Formula Sound, removing the panels was easy and I could further modify the desk to fit other mixers i.e.

I've had 3 mixers mounted in that 4U hole now.. Denon DN-X500, Urei 1620LE and my current Bozak CMA 10-2DL

I came up with a temporary cheap solution to mount my Bozak at an angle. I bought a couple of these shelf brackets at Home Depot http://www.homedepot.com/p/Everbilt-...7#.Usgn83kvvFI I then mounted my Bozak on it like this
It's not the prettiest solution, but it is strong, it is at the right angle, it's cheap, and I didn't have to build anything.

Hi Matt - check your PM when you get chance ;)

Did you have to bend it back to that angle yourself, Pano? And remove the bracing?

Liking the ingenuity...

I'm keen on one of the Sound Active racks from Japan for my Rane MP & XP 2016 but the shipping cost to New Zealand is just prohibitive.

Everything is expensive to get to NZ dammit!

No, I didn't have to do anything. I used it just as I bought it, left the brace on it. It's at the perfect angle. Just use it with the brace facing down.

Oh, it's upside down! Now I get it. Very clever.

Just came hree to say thanks! After reading your post I immediatelyn drove to Home Depot and was able to fix my table top rack problem in less than an hour. One thing I would share though, in your original post you linked to the 12" shelf bracket, I opted for the 16" instead and my Bozak still sits pretty close to the table. I feel a 12" would have made the lowest RCA connectors bend against the table a bit more than I would have liked. Just sharing this in case anyone else decided to do this. There were 24" shelf brackets too, much wider foot print on the desk but it would make the mixer sit higher.

In any case, thanks for the genius idea!

If you got a picture, I'll like to see it. I'm working on a new home made tabletop rack from more Home Depot parts. This one is even cheaper than my first one made with 2 shelf brackets, and that one was pretty cheap. I'm waiting on a pair of Dorrough Loudness Monitor LED Meters to get here so I can drill the holes to mount the Bozak and the meters before I put up a picture. The meters will be here tomorrow.
