A few oldies but goldies (along with some up to date faves) currently being rinsed on my knackered hi-fi:
Linda Clifford 'Runaway Love' (the full & completely bumping 12 minute version)
Dexter Wansel 'Sweetest Pain' (as sampled by Global Comms on 'The Way')
Agent K 'Ladies' & 'Feed The Cat' (proper 2-step bizniz!!!)
Archie Bell & The Drells 'Strategy' (a solid & funky groover from the philly guys)
Shaun Escoffery 'Days Like This' Spinna Mix (record of the year??)
Galaxy To Galaxy 'Hi-Tech Jazz' (this totally sent shivers up my spine when I heard this played last weekend... another classic on UR)
Curtis Mayfield - Tripping Out (only just found this, and damn it is so funky and dripping with soul)
Patti Jo - 'Make Me Believe In You' (baaaaarm-baaaarm! what a vocal!)
Raphael Saddiq - 'Faithful' (I've got to check his album, has anyone heard it?)
Stevie Wonder - 'Do I Do' (how can Ja Rule mess with this? DISGRACE!!!!)
Rotary Connection - 'Love Has Fallen On Me' (up there with 'Black Gold Of The Sun'. Feel good music)
D-Train - 'Music' (I love the way that the One Track Mind record on Soulphuric sampled this and created a fantastic rework of THAT break)
Booker T - 'Melting Pot' (OH MY GOD!!)
Blaze - 'Breathe' (these guys can do wrong in my view, total hedonism)
Domu - Last Time (currently being caned by Gilles P. The beats, the bass and vocal are the LICK)
Vicker Duplaix - 'Looking For Love' Bugz In Da Attic mix (another track Gilles brought to my attention)
Sharon Redd - 'Can You Handle It' (this & 'Beat The Street' are some of the best early 80's tunes).
PEACE
